What if I suspect my package was stolen? Follow
If you won’t be available when your package is expected to arrive, we recommend choosing a secure delivery option whenever possible. Consider having your order shipped to your workplace, a staffed apartment or building delivery area, or an approved carrier pickup location.
You may also want to sign up for your carrier’s delivery management service. These services may allow you to receive delivery notifications, provide delivery instructions, redirect eligible packages to a secure pickup location, or manage the timing of your delivery.
If your tracking shows that your package was delivered but you cannot locate it, we recommend:
- Checking around your property and any designated or secure delivery areas.
Asking household members, neighbors, your front desk, or building management whether they accepted the package. - Contacting the carrier to confirm the delivery details and determine whether additional delivery information is available. Occasionally, a package may be scanned as delivered before it actually arrives.
- If you have reason to believe the package was stolen after delivery, contacting your local police department to file a police report.
You may also want to check whether the credit card used for your purchase includes purchase protection. Some credit card issuers offer coverage for eligible purchases that are stolen or damaged, subject to the terms and limitations of your cardholder benefits.
Taking advantage of secure delivery locations and real-time delivery notifications can help reduce the risk of packages being left unattended.
